Cosplay Plans for 2014

Hey everyone!

Wow has it been a while since my last post. I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to their new year!

Seeing as my costumes from last year are complete, and I haven't posted in a while, and it's the new year - I felt it was appropriate to share my cosplay plans! I have had so many fun ideas rolling around in my head that it's really hard to pick which ones I'll be attempting this time.

So, this is my proposed list. I may add or switch out costumes, but there are a couple on here that I know I'd like to do for sure. Additionally, cleaning up older costumes is always on my mind, too.

Flaffy ~ Pokemon Gijinka

Estimated Completion Date: (Summer) Anime Expo
Start Date: February 2014

Details: I fell in love with all of the Pokemon Gijinka designs as soon as I saw them. I just knew I had to choose one I loved, and really go all out. When I came across Flaffy, the colors and fabric just called out to me. Although the sewing might be complex, it would be a really great challenge.

I'm really excited to give my new sewing machine a whirl at trying this costume. The wig is also beautiful, and I feel like it would be a comfortable costume to wear - other than those shoes. Anyone have a good idea for how to attempt those?

Get pumped!

Nameless Character ~ Journey

Estimated Completion Date: (Fall) Halloween
Start Date: (TBD) Summer

Details: This game truly impacted me when I played it for the first time. My boyfriend and I played it together for quite a bit, before he fell asleep - I kept going, until I actually beat the game, and cried as quietly as I could so I didn't wake him up. Yes, this game meant a lot to me.

I'm excited to try out some new things with this costume, especially the black mesh mask.

Possible Costume Additions

To be added if time allows:

Aurora - Sleeping Beauty
Elsa - Disney's Frozen
Amaterasu - Okami

Let me know what you guys think of the costumes! I am so excited to get started and share my progress with all of you. As always, continue to check Facebook and Twitter for more updates, as I try to make the blog posts centered around formal write-ups.

Until next time, take care everyone!

Up Next: Unwrapping the new Sewing Machine!
Details: I got a new sewing machine for Christmas! My old machine was dying, and could barely hold thread or wind a bobbin anymore. So we'll be checking out the new machine, and looking at the different parts and how to care for it!
