Updates and a little About Me

It's been a while since my last post, so I thought I'd say hello!

Things have been really busy for me lately, hence the lack of updates! I had a lot going on at work (which is exciting), but those things have finally started to quiet down. That means I get to spend more time focusing on the things I love to do, like games and writing and reading!

Since the last post I also moved into a new apartment (more cosplay space!) with my own garage. That means lots of space to play with new armor and crafting materials. That also means that I'm still getting setup and settled in. I think we're just about finished unpacking all of the boxes, so expect some cosplay photos and real updates soon!

I thought I'd take a post to tell people a little more about me, and what my life is like outside of cosplay. I work full-time at a video game company where I review and analyze games, and assist with development. It's definitely a dream come true! As a kid, I would have never guessed I'd get to be making a living doing what I loved to do in my free time.

Now that I've been out of university for a year, I can finally give some updates on that! While at school, I studied English and Art for about two years, before I transferred to a new university to study Creative Writing officially. I graduated with a BFA in Creative Writing, and absolutely love getting to write every day. I come in before work, cuddled up in my cubicle, and try to bust out some writing before getting down to real work. My goal is to one day combine my two passions, and do some writing for the company I currently work for - whether that be game writing, or, developing novels and short stories outside of the games.

Much of my free time is spent between reading, writing, and playing video games. When I'm not doing those, I'm likely cooking (which I absolutely love), or attempting another craft like Perler beads. For the most part, though, I enjoy coming home to relax and games. I am also an owner of a Disneyland Pass, so I can often be found dining on Main Street, enjoying some Doll Whips or Gumbo, or trying not to die on California Screamin.

My Talbuk Mount!
Well, I hope this was a fun post! Most of my life is consumed by work - and when I'm not working, I'm writing or gaming or preparing my next cosplay! If you guys have any fun questions, feel free to ask them here and I'd be happy to answer them!

Thanks, everyone!
